On our second visit to Nashville, we happened to be there on Christmas Eve and I naively thought that with a nickname like “Music City” with a row of Honky Tonks that play from 10am-3am, I thought it was a city that never sleeps. Boy was I wrong. Turns out, many things just so happen to be closed on Christmas Eve. Not that I’m complaining as I totally 100% support this. But what to do, what to do in Nashville on Christmas Eve, you might ask? Why, find street art of course! It’s obviously one of the best free things to do in Nashville and always open!
So, we decided to make an afternoon out of it and find as many wall murals in Downtown Nashville as we could! We hit up a few of Nashville’s best eatries before hunting down some quick street art murals!
Prior to discovering the wall murals in Nashville, I had read a lot of posts about amazing street art popping up all over the world. Some of it I really enjoyed and other bits, I couldn’t see what the big deal was.

Hopefully this little guide to Nashville’s street art brings some color to your life and a whole lotta fun! There are a ton of wall murals in Nashville and I certainly didn’t get to them all but these were some of the best wall murals in Nashville, Tennessee! There are more than 50 murals in Nashville that you should see, but to visit them all, you will certainly need a long photosesh to find all of Nashville’s most Instagrammable spots!

1. Kelsey Montague #WhatLiftsYou
When I saw these beautiful wings, I knew I had to find these first and foremost! They’re absolutely amazing and I had never seen anything like them before. Turns out Kelsey Montague travels the world and creates beautiful, interactive wall murals for people to have fun with and share on social media. I can now say, I’m huge fan! Today, the Nashville mural wings are considered to be the most popular wall mural in Nashville and it’s not hard to see why! Found more Kelsey Montague art in Wroclaw, Poland too!
Directly nest to the larger wings were a small pair of wings perfect for adorable babies or pets. We sat my mom’s dog down and he instantly became a photo star and every one suddenly wanted their picture with Freddy! All dogs

Just opposite the field of flowers mural, is the ‘Make Music, Not War” wall mural, which was an added bonus upon finding the flower mural! Naturally, as Nashville is nicknamed “Music City” I needed to take a picture here!

12. Jerry’s Artarama mural

We decided to walk up and down this street and just see if there were more murals, as it seems once you find one, you’re bound to find more. Annnnnd sure and heck, we found a simple, yet Instagrammable Nashville mural. The Stay Tuned Nashville mural was painted by Adrien Saporiti / DCXV Industries.

I wish we had had more time to find the dozens of other beautiful wall murals that fill the streets of Nashville with creative and colorful images. But I know I’ll be back and I’ll add to this each time I go!

I love street art. I have a special Pinterest board where I pin all the street art posts I come across. Then I check it for local sightings wherever I am. I am pinning this post now.
I have definitely become obsessed and also look for them everywhere - seems Australia and Chile are the best places! Almost tempted to go there just because of the wall murals haha
I love Nashville, but one of the things that we didn't do while we were there was hunt for all of the murals! Sounds like I need another trip back!
Oh I definitely want to find many others! 5 was not enough! By as it's only 2 hours from my parents I'm sure we'll go again!
Lolo you seem to be very good at finding street art. I'm so upset that I can't find anywhere, while everybody else keeps bragging about their findings. The inly place I could find some was in Dresden. Very beautiful street art in Nashville. #TheWeeklyPostcard
Louisville, Lexington and Nashville was the were the first! I got quite lucky! But now back in Germany I haven't found any yet but have researched some in Munich that I'll try to find soon!
Lovely art and photos! Those wings!! I too am a big fan of street art and have been spending a lot of time looking for it. It's interesting to see how different cities have different styles. Here in LA, the style varies depending on which part of town you're in. Fascinating! #Theweeklypostcard
I'm sure Nashville's also varies depending on where you are. I found many online in Nashville but these were the easier and quickest to find on a pouring, rainy day!
I still have not made it to Nashville but when I do I will definitely be on the lookout for street art. You found some great ones and I love the fun pics that you took. Thanks for sharing on #TheWeeklyPostcard.
Like you I was sceptical about Street Art, then I was commissioned to do a magazine article on it and now I too am obsessed. I want to see a pair of those wings now! Will Stumble #TheWeeklyPostcard
I am getting obsessed with wall art too. I am starting with going around Los Angeles taking pictures of everything I can find (not that easy since LA is big). So great you found so many cute murals in Nashville. The wings and butterflies ones are so beautiful! #TheWeeklyPostcard
I love this post, and I love more that you are in them. I will now probably pinch this idea because it makes the street art more effective. I owe you.

I love street art like this, the more expressive the better! Thanks for linking up with #wkendtravelinspiration!
